Union Station
Well when you have a little boy that is "choo choo" happy theres no other place to go but Union station. We took Tristan and my nephew Canyon there and wow did they ever enjoy it. There is a small toy train exhibit that is very large and quite impressive. The boys were in awww and just ran around watching the trains go through tunnels, over bridges and around mountains. When we finally were able to get them out of that section it was off to the big trains where they climbed and jumped all over the place. After a few hours they were finally wore out enough that we could leave. Getting home was quite comical as they just went on and on about their adventures. NAPTIME was a blessing. Later thaat night I made sugar cookies that Tristan Loerya Canyon and my niece Oakley were able to use cookie cutters and help cut them out. However a word of advice to all moms out there NEVER make cookies at night and tell kids that they get to frost them in the morning when they wake up. Canyon was so excited about that that he woke me up at 3:00am wanting to do cookies. I was able to get him back in bed but 4:00am and 5:30 am is still not a time for cookie decorating. I finally gave up at 6:00am (on a Sunday morning) and did breakfasst so we could "do" cookies by 7:ooam. Loads of fun though. I did learn my lesson next time I make cookies with kids it will be in the morning so we can decorate in the afternoon.

YUP its been awhile.
Well as we all know life gets in the way of fun sometimes. Well thats not my excuse I just got lazy and didn't blog. Lots has happened since my last entry. Christopher graduated from high school, kids are growing up and my daycare has taken off. yeah!! I even have a new puppy. His name is snickers and he is so dang cute. He is 6 months old and I didn't have to house train him even better in my book.
Even though I do not write on my blog often I follow Circe's (Party of eight). She is awsome and inspirational. I love reading her blog before I get my day started. If only I could be as talented a writer as she is, a tenth of the mom she is, a tenth of creative and funny as she is..... oh well I just have to be thankful for what I am. HE made me and HE knows what he is doing.

Saying goodbye
Saying goodbye to old friends is never easy but to say goodbye to 2 in one day is heart wrenching. We had to let our beloved Gizmo and Shadow go today, they are now with my Mama dog that we had to say goodbye to just before Christmas. Our family is sad and at a loss for they were just a part of the family. Goodbye dear ones we will always love you.

Birthday fun
My goodness, my Rya (Loerya) is now 2. Where has the time gone? Today was the day we were suppose to frantically run through the hose cleaning then have her party just so the house could have a party in celebration of my Rya's day. Well the rushing to clean happened... then the hot water tank went out so off to HomeDepot goes Mel to get a replacement while the rest of us continue to clean. He gets home and gets everything taken care of, my HERO, then we can get down to making dinner, watching a movie and doing cake for my Diva. Rya is very photogenic, she laughs alot, and of course has her 2 year old moments. I thank every day that she is in my life. What on earth would we do without grandkids,,,,,, not a question I really want answered.
